Kyoto description

Kyoto is a city in Japan composed by almost 1.5 million inhabitants, which in the past has been the country’s capital, today is the capital of homonymous prefecture.

The city, also known as the “city of a thousand temples“, having been almost entirely spared by World War II, is considered the greatest shrine of Japanese culture, and therefore included in the UNESCO protected sites.

Kyoto is an university of national importance and a cultural center of the world.
