Palinuro is the largest village of Centola, Salerno province, Campania. It is a seaside resort in southern Cilento rather note, whose name is linked to a character in the Aeneid, the legendary Palinuro, helmsman of the fleet of Aeneas.
Site not far from the mouths of rivers Lambro and Mingardo, Palinuro lies on the small peninsula of the headland, Capo Palinuro, renowned for the scenic beauty, its natural emergencies and for the presence of underwater caves.
