Rome description
Rome is the most populous and largest in Italy and is the first common European territory size. It’s an Italian city, the capital of the province of Rome, the Lazio region and capital of the Italian Republic.
It is the city with the highest concentration of historic and architectural heritage in the world.
The territory is large, having incorporated areas abandoned for centuries, mostly marshy and unsuitable for agriculture and do not belong to City Hall.
The city, in addition to the Tiber is crossed by another river, the Aniene, which flows into the Tiber River in the northern part of today’s urban areas.
