Agrigento (Girgenti in Sicilian) is a city of 59,134 inhabitants reaching the 130,000 inhabitants with the urban conurbation.

The capital of the province of western Sicily. It is one of 16 provincial capitals in which the Italian city itself is not facing the sea but which instead present municipal marine surroundings.
