Trinidad description
Trinidad is a city of about 75,000 inhabitants of the Cuban central province of Sancti Spiritus. Together with the nearby Valle de los Ingenios is a site listed as World Heritage by UNESCO since 1988.
The oldest part of town is the best preserved and is the subject of sightseeing by organized tours.
In contrast, other areas outside of the more tourists, also very central, are in a state of semi-neglect and are the mirror of a widespread unease in the city and across the country.
Outside the city there is the famous peninsula of Ancona with a well-known and wide sandy beach (Playa Ancon) on which there is a tourist complex, among the first born after the revolution of 1959.
