San Francisco description

San Francisco is a U.S. city, the fourth in California by population (after Los Angeles, San Diego and San Jose), with an estimated population of 808,976 inhabitants in 2008.

The city is part of a large metropolitan area (about 7 million inhabitants, the fifth of the entire country), the San Francisco Bay Area, which has always been the center of financial-economic, cultural and tourism, although has lost the primacy of the population.

Today, San Francisco is a popular destination for many international tourists and is known for its cool summer fog, because of its steep hills, because of its vibrant culture and its architectural eclecticism, alongside Victorian-style architecture modern, famous for his landscapes, including the Golden Gate Bridge, for his taxi to Chinatown.
